I make knives for the Russian and native hunters who earn their daily bread by hunting on a huge area of Siberia and northern Russia which is actualy an area of 20 Alaskas. Some of them have to walk up to 30 miles a day often in snow and they need light and kind of all-purpose knife. They cannot carry axes or saws at such long distances. So, we have developed Parma knife for them. The curve edge of the blade is good for skinning and the saw is good for horns, bones and wood. The word 'Parma' means 'deep forest' or 'taiga' of the Northern Urals in the local language.
